The campus-wide Office/Dry Lab Occupancy Study is conducted annually or as campus space programming and new space needs arise.

During the initial cycle (Fall 2023), the Planning, Projects, and Program Management Office (PPMO) of the Operations & Facilities Management Department (OFMD) conducted multiple studies targeting specific buildings and suites to identify opportunities.

These initial findings helped WashU Medicine leadership determine the highest and best use of these spaces while consolidating and relocating some programs to incorporate other mission-critical initiatives.

The annual results will be incorporated into departmental Annual/5-Year Space Planning.
