Located in the middle of campus, the Mid Campus Center (MCC) 8th Floor Faculty Office Fit Out will provide centrally located faculty offices for the Department of Neurosurgery and the Department of Otolaryngology.
The project will relocate both department’s existing faculty offices from Maternity Hospital to MCC. This relocation will further the decant of Maternity to enable a future project in that building. In addition, the project will also relocate the Facilities Integration Service Center from Olin Residence Hall and relocate it into the MCC 1st floor lobby area. Back of house services will be relocated to a small office area adjacent to the lobby.
The project scope includes the fit-out approximately 27,197 NASF for the new faculty office space, and renovation of approximately 6,301 NASF of center core area on the 8th floor. Renovation of approximately 1,500 NASF of the 1st floor lobby and former HR office area will be needed for the FISC desk relocation.
Construction is to begin in fall 2021.
