The Operations & Facilities Management Department (OFMD) is excited to announce a new Projects & Planning Website which showcases the major planning and project efforts occurring at Washington University School of Medicine.
Washington University School of Medicine has experienced great physical changes for several years and will continue this trend into the future. The Operations and Facilities Management Department keeps the “whole” in mind as the campus grows, focusing through intense cooperative planning on connecting people to better collaborate in the areas of research, healthcare, and education.
The new Planning and Projects website features the major planning and projects occurring at the School of Medicine. As announced on March 6, it also features information about the new 11-story, 609,000-square-foot neuroscience research building planned for the School of Medicine campus. The project initially will bring together more than 100 research teams focused on solving the many mysteries of the brain and the body’s nervous system.
Washington University School of Medicine utilizes an integrated planning and project management process in all aspects of their organization. The Capital Projects and Physical Planning teams are part of the Operations & Facilities Management Department which includes planning, capital projects, transportation and parking, campus safety, custodial services, operations and maintenance, groundskeeping, utilities, emergency medicine, shared spaces and more.
