The new St. Louis Children’s Hospital Child Development Center at the Taylor Avenue Building (TAB) is a 35,200 department gross square feet (DGSF) childcare center on the east side of TAB. It replaces the Clayton Avenue Building (CAB) location and provides long-term opportunities for mission-critical needs. This project reflects the School of Medicine’s commitment to creating a positive environment that supports the various needs of our employees and their families.
The project will include:
- Indoor and outdoor play areas
- Multiple classrooms tailored to different age groups
- Dedicated spaces for teachers and staff
- Quiet, calm spaces for children
- Restrooms and changing facilities
- A lactation room
- A kitchen and dining area
- Dedicated spaces where parents can connect with staff
