In the summer of 2019, the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology successfully recruited Dr. Ben Major and Dr. Dennis Goldfarb to the University.
In order to accommodate their relocated labs, the renovation of a large portion of the 4th floor was undertaken. Dr. Heather True’s Lab, whose space already occupied this portion of the floor, was also included in the renovation.
The project scope included the gut renovation of approximately 9,953 SF of existing lab space. The new construction included a large, flexible lab with lab support rooms, equipment rooms, cold rooms, write-up spaces, facility offices, restrooms and a new conference/classroom.
The three (3) phase project began construction in January 2020, and completed in December 2020.
